Year 5 Ancient Egypt Day

Year 5 welcomed the new school year with an exciting day of activities linked to our history topic this term: Ancient Egypt.

The children had a fantastic time stepping back in time and discovering more about this fascinating civilisation. They enjoyed baking and sampling traditional-style Egyptian honey cakes, as well as using their creativity and imagination to make their own clay amulets. The children also had the opportunity to learn about some of the most important pharaohs, gods and goddesses of Ancient Egypt.

It was a wonderful day of learning, creativity and fun, and all of the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They also looked fantastic in their Ancient Egyptian-inspired outfits!
